While on an author thread today on another site, there was discussion of how to write a best-seller. I remembered the story of how Stephen King wrote "Carrie", and that his wife recovered the manuscript from the trash and gave it back to him. That it was best to never give up and always keep trying. And posted that on the forum. Reminded of the Carrie story, I looked it up on wiki. On that page, Stephen King is reputed to have stated to his biographer that he wondered what it would have been like to have been raised under a mother like Carrie's.
I can answer that question, if he still wishes to know

Thank you. Interesting site you have here. I'm a big fan of Christine, Creepshow, and Misery. I own a 1934 Ford Coupe that led a charmed life in the private shed of the owner of a junkyard filled with very old cars. It had not run since 1947 and was one of his favorites. He lived alone and died alone, and now the whole area is under a new highway. This 34 Ford was one of the last and very few cars to make it out of there. I restored it using as much of the original stuff as possible and from the moment it first thundered to life strange things began happening. Burned up fuel pumps and wiring, lights that work only when they want to, cracked cylinders, a supercharger explosion, low then high oil pressure in a rebuilt engine. I barely made it into a big show once where it quit in the entrance. Fuel pump failure. The car stole the show because it is one of the nicest vintage 34 Ford traditional hot rods around and loaded with very rare parts. We could not locate a pump and called for a tow. Took it home and right before the car was unloaded I decided to try it. It cranked right up. Runs great one day at a show, then seems to want to punish me with breakdowns as if it's slumber was interrupted. It's a weird car. My wife calls it Christine Jr and says it's possessed.

Thank you for the offer. I think he can well imagine what it would be like as he's written about it and has heard others' stories, but the reference is more subjective and one that can never truly be answered as that wasn't his experience.
