Hi guys. I already have a self-promo thread for my blog so why not one for my fiction. I don't plan to make a career from writing-- it's just a fun way to pass the time. :) Please leave me any/all feedback! (I love getting feedback, good and bad. Haha.) I'm posting them in spoilers so it's not a huuuuuuge wall of text:

I have TONS more (I've been writing since I was 13), but I'm proud of these and I thought five was a good number for now. :)

Sorry Achtung, we don't allow actual writing posted directly to the site. You can post it on your blog, and then this thread has the link to it that way.

I loved your letter to Bradbury. Very clever and well-executed. (Too bad he is no longer with us. Of course, imagine if he commented on the post! There has to be a story there somewhere.)

I myself really enjoyed Something Wicked this Way Comes, but I do get what you are saying. It comes from a different era.

The purple prose, though, I absolutely loved. I sort of don't have time for overly-descriptive works these days -- to be honest, I prefer stories with tight plots, less-than-complete characterizations, and a sharp focus on a strong concept -- but I do love the poetic tone of that book. And like you, I enjoyed the setting.
