I bet you know that.

20-25 Years ago, i had a Circle of Friends (we hall had one back in the Days).
We were a Bunch of Close Friends, went trough Thick n Thin.

But Life went on , some People Married, some moved into another Town,
and the Clique was torn apart, everyone has it own Way to go.

You`ll always keep them in your Mind and your Heart, and sometimes
you meet one of these People, you Talk and laugh a while, you swap
Mobile Numbers and Mail Adresses, you say "Lets stay in contact"
and you write Messages once or twice a Month, maybe you call him/her sometimes.

This Person isn`t part of your Daily Routine anymore, just a Background Noise...but a good one.

Sometimes, mostly if u had a Drink too much, you fish out some old Photos, remebering the
"Good old Times"

I read the Newspaper this Morning, and then i read a Name and the Background Noise
became a flood of Images in my Head.

His Name was in the Obituaries, he deceased last sunday and i have no Clue why.
I feel like I have read this before... is this a quote?
I'm so sorry (((Frank,))) have you just gone through this?

Constant friends, or distance friends, a loss is difficult. Memories are kept dear to the heart. I will light a candle for your friend. I also send you inner peace.

Tonight my daughter is going to the homecoming dance with her first real date. I'm bummed because she's at her dad's for the weekend, and I wasn't able to do the Mom things with her, like help with her hair, etc.......
My parents were never divorced, but my mother never did Mom things with me. I learned more from Madonna than I did from my mom. In our house we never talked about sex or the changes I would go through. I learned all that from my friends and sex ed classes. I bought all my own girl things using the money I made at my PT job. My mother was a German immigrant who kept to herself and spent most of her time in her home office. She was a dressmaker. She never taught me how to do makeup or how to dress like a woman. Kinda ironic, considering that she made clothes for a living.

My daughter is my world. I've raised her to be independent, but I've also spent as much time as possible with her. I enjoy doing the Mom things with her......even with the difficult or awkward conversations, I make a point to be there for her. I'm not really upset that her dad gets to enjoy this particular "first" with her, but just a little bummed to have missed being there for it. He's a good dad, just wasn't a good husband. They sent photos before the dance, and will send more later.
