Hello,

As the subject line says I'm new to the message board. I have been looking for a way to send a letter to Mr. King in some way but it is clear the only message I might get to him would be by posting on this forum (which I completely understand since he is such a famous man). I hope it finds him but it's also clear those of you on this message board are very kind and also great fans of the great author.

My father-in-law acted as a reference source (to learn about life in small mining towns) for Mr. King for his books "Desperation" and then "The Regulators" under his Bachman line. My father-in-law was a copper mining geologist in a small Nevada mining town at the time. My wife and her family have been reading Mr. King's books since before her father worked with Mr. King, and ever since. My wife (because our TiVo caught "The Green Mile" film as a suggestion) just read "The Green Mile" before viewing the film adaptation and they were both very powerful and moving to her, and I as well.

Sadly, I have had dyslexia all my life so reading has always been somewhat of a challenge to me, but I do read sometimes and audio books have helped in recent years, and many of the film or mini-series adaptations (the ones Mr. King has spoken of as good adaptations) have been amazing for me. But of the fiction I've read or listened to, Mr. King's has been the best by far. I'll admit only that I have found overall stories by other authors that were good, but none had the "line by line" greatness of Mr. King's. I wanted to thank him for his amazing story telling, and for his general example to everyone of working hard on any craft or skill and devoting your life to it.

Thank you Mr. King! I look forward to the new stories you create (I'm an engineer so creation is quite beautiful to me) and to sequels you add to your already wonderful stories already published.

Welcome to the Board! Stephen doesn't personally read or respond to fan mail--that's done by staff--but if you'd still like the office address, let me know.

Yes, if I could get it I absolutely would love to have it. I understand with his status that getting in touch with him directly is not something a "nobody" can do. But an address for his staff would be wonderful.
