Hi! I am a lifelong fan of Stephen King. I've been reading his books since the 1970s, some of them over and over again. I see that there are all kinds of fellow fanatics out here by reading this welcome page and I'm thrilled to find all of you.

So many of the forums I used to post in religiously have gone away or are more or less dead since the advent of facebook. Startrekfans.net, HPforums, etc. all wastelands. Since none of my facebook friends care anything about SK books or movies, I had no one to talk to about my musings. It's been rather depressing!

Facebook is just awful for honest discussion. I hate how you'll go to a facebook fan page for a particular book, movie, t.v. show, or other topic and everything you post out there is just out there for your mom, your brother, your niece, your child's friends' parents to see! There are some pretty adult themes in SK's books ... I don't think the PTA president needs to see what I am reading or thinking about every little thing I'm interested in. I like my life compartmentalized -- no food touching on the plate! LOL!
