I've been looking for one for a while now. I didn't have much money in my budget to spend, so I'd just been checking Good Will and resale shops. I've seen a handful of smaller shelves that would be inadequate for my collection. I saw a very nice, fancy-looking book case but it was $150.00...

I came across one today that was perfect size (60 inches tall and about 36 inches wide). It was in a local resale shop and was only marked for $20.00! This thing is used, but not in "bad" shape. It looks nice and all of my SK collection as well as my other books fit neatly and upright on 4 shelves.

After investigating cost of materials and difficulty of constructing my own book case, I decided that will be a future project.

What kind of book case do you all have? Maybe you store your books some other way... I had mine stacked in an armoire for the longest time and it bugged me. I would always have to re-arrange when I bought new books.

My King collection has several book case. and a movie case.I have way to many book cases and trying to down size a bit. Like that is going to happen.LOL
I know the feeling. Most of my King paperbacks have been stored in a box and put in the closet. Someone buy me another book-case and ship it to me! I'll pay you with cookies and a pat on the back... :biglove::lurve:

I have bookcases in every room of my house, except the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room. I even installed bookshelves on the walls about 6 1/2 feet from the floor to take advantage of the (what I consider) wasted space above doors as I have vaulted (or cathedral) ceilings throughout my house.

I'm really digging your book-cases. My aunt and uncle have book-shelves above their doors too, and I've wanted to do that ever since I saw theirs! Might have to look into that on a day I'm off from work.

Man NICE collection King Family Fan! I love how you have all that displayed.
believe it or not all but 2 of my bookcases came from yard sales over the years. The 2 new ones my husband bought a K mart on Clearance a couple years back. So you can go great used deals. We all start one little and watch all the 2nd hand places and watch the collections grow. i would so love to see everyones collections.

I'm visiting Iowa now, but its the same at my Colorado home base. Just stacked around wherever, on dresser, on nightstand, on desk, under desk, in the closet.

I do not have a book case.

This is about 80% of my King collection -- the other 20% is away in storage due to lack of space and whatnot. :( Another book-case of mine is its twin, and my third one is the same color but a tiny bit shorter.

The copy of The Dark Man on the second shelf from the bottom was given to me by cat in a bag and is one of my very favorite King possessions -- it means a lot to me. :) My Dark Tower collection is hidden behind the Doctor Sleep/UTD paperbacks. Boo!

Nice score, Jonesy!

I have two low / wide bookcases in the bedroom along with two bookcase style nightstands. And I still have books stacked in other places. The CD and DVD racks are overflowing too :( The vinyl record collections is spawning out of nowhere as well.

At least I have cut down on the walk-in closet full of guitar amplifiers. I'm down to one small guitar amp now and that is currently vacationing at the musicians workshop studio. I thought I had my guitar problem under control. I was down to 3 but am now back up to 6. Effects pedals seem to multiply like rabbits! GAS can be such a problem. Is their such a thing as guitar rehab? I think I might need that. Hello, my name is Swiftdog and I have a problem........
