"Always maintain plausible deniability....."

Meaning, don't get caught doing something stupid because I'm not going to bail your stupid SwiftDog a** out!

I take after my Dad personality wise. I inherited his calm demeanor as well as the twisted sense of humor. He also taught me not to take everything at face value and that a little cynicism is not necessarily a bad thing.

Can't believe SwiftDad will be gone four years as of 6/26 :(

Love the Stevie. My dad was a huge fan of Telstar and other Dick Dale-style guitar work--all kinds of guitar, in fact (he was never a flashy player, but he noodled on the electric guitar all my growing up years). I remember going on a debate trip when I was in high school, and the guys all thought they'd be bad-ass and play Jimi at high volumes, thinking it would annoy the tender ears of the girls. I knew all the songs better than they did, and sang along at high (and probably terrible) volume. Mad respect from them after that trip. Thanks, Dad. :)

He was :) I think I was 7 or so when he had this pic taken, so he would have been about 29-30.

Oh! He also gave me my love of history and trivia! I never saw him read anything fiction, but we always had military history books around the house. One particular book, The Picture History of World War II was a favorite of mine (and a clear sign that my parents would let me read ANYTHING--some of the pictures were horrendous).

And science fiction/fantasy! Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate...he was a big fan of all the "Star"s :)

Another thread I have been thinking about. :)

I cannot think of any advice specifically, but it is because my dad is always calm, cool and collected when I need advice and he never fails to come through for me. If he is mad, you never ever know it...unless it is something really, really bad. ;-D If he gets mad enough to yell, (or worse, say he is disappointed) you know you stepped in something really stinky.

Love you, Dad. You taught me everything I know.

My Dad was a Jimi fan as well. He was the one who got me into him. Beatles as well. My Dad and Hendrix were both in the Airborne around the same time (Jimi was 101st. SwiftDad was 82nd).
