June 3, 2014? I can hardly wait!
any word on a first edition presale signed artist editions and what not?
There isn't going to be a limited edition that I am aware of. I can't find the above item on Cemetery Dance's web site.
Can't wait for June!
Erhm, if you don't mind me asking, who took Mr King's idea and hit a home run with it?
The cover's artist?
...ya shoulda seen Steve's crayon proof...
The ARC doesn't list the cover artist so not 100% sure but my guess is it was an in-house product of Scribner's Art Department. As soon as I have better information, I'll post an update.
Will never be able to look at an ice cream truck the same after seeing the full cover reveal!!!
Lower left corner names jacket designer and jacket illustrator. I need stronger reading glasses!
Jacket illustration is by Sam Weber.
Amazon has it as 448 pages.
Mr. Mercedes: A Novel: Stephen King: 9781476754451: Amazon.com: Books
The ARC is 437 pages including the Author's Note.
This book totally sounds like it could be a Bachman entry. Really makes me want to pick up Roadwork before June 3rd hits.
Given the entire style, it isn't what I would consider a Bachman book. That's just me, though.
I agree -- Bachman books tend to be bleak.
Mowing bodies down in yer car sounds rather dark n wild.
That ice cream truck is amazing!
Well, you don't expect everything to be shiny and nice in a Stephen King novel, but the tone of the Bachman books is particularly and identifiably darker, in my opinion.
Am I right in remembering the back cover contains an image of an ice cream truck?
I am asking because it’s raining here at 8:30 PM and I randomly hear this peculiar jingle from outside; I looked out the window and saw an ice-cream truck… in the rain… at night.
Yes, on the U.S. cover there is an ice cream truck on the back.
