Just stopping for a moment to say hello. I've been a Constant Reader since Carrie, and always look forward to the next gift from Mr. King, but I've run across a book that I would bet money was not written by him even though it bears his name. Has anyone heard of a small collection of short stories, called "Grave Decisions?" It is a recent (2016) publication that I purchased as a Kindle book.

Any light that can be shed on this would be most appreciated.

Cheers,

Shanon

Welcome to the board! Your question is valid and although I have no light to shed at the moment, I have some across similar enigmas. Stephen King: composer, musician, songwriter - in Canada? Not the same person, clearly he cannot corner the market on his own name, patent his mind, and own all of the rights. Not that he would, from what I understand he is about as generous and giving as a person can be. He gave away quite a few secrets by writing It,(and the collective body of work)then boldly published a how to manual for any interested writers.
There are many strange things seemingly gleaned from his work. Seemingly? If you really want to delve into this, just keep reading.

It is a shame that you were somehow fooled into buying a crappy collection of stories from someone who just happens to share the same name as 'our' Stephen King

Sorry!

Here is a link to The Library which shows all of his written works (that is, of the Stephen King whose style of writing we prefer).

Hi Shanon Sara and welcome! I read about that other Stephen King on this site and have heard others out there were fooled as well. I wonder what his earnings are based on the folks who fall for that old ruse. I wanted to put my name on my car's licence plate once, but it was too expensive, so I legally changed my name to 'GDC-352'. =D All the best, mal.
