Why because I believe a relative of mine is buried at Waterville, and maybe next year I might go on a holiday to the United States but I'm a bit short of money and I wondered if I could sleep in a tent in the civic park in Portland or somewhere. Just kidding. I most probably am going for a trip to America next year as I have never been there and I want to meet some of my relatives who I have never met. I wonder if I have to get a rabies shot to go over there as well as smallpox. I might have to take a English translation dictionary as well as people talk kind of weird in New England.

Portland is about 74 miles--an hour's drive--away from Waterville. When you're here, you'll be the one talking weird. ;;D

You can really crank it up on the highway, Mr. Cranky...74 miles in an hour. That's an easy math problem. Now. Hooked on phonics as I am. Maybe the posted limit is like out west...car starts vibrating and shaking you get it up that high. Where you think that...ayyyyyyuuuuh? comes from? I gotta go peeeeee! Ayyyyyuh! Motion with the hand up there at twelve o'clock...S-s-s-shakel-l-l-ly's, c-c-ccomin' up-p-p! Ay-y-y-y-yuh! Five syllable yeah. (or maybe six) Explains all that 1000-words-a-minute stuff. Something in the water, my guess. Bottle some, take it back, get those people down under shakin'.
