Yeah, me too. Been there twice. 2008 and 2011, Used it as a base for tours around the US. One weekend tour took us to Little big horn and back, another to Mesa Verde and another to Grand Canyon and Las Vegas ( I actually liked the Nevada desert more than Las Vegas). My place of residence at these visits were Fort collins. Rather close to the little river that floats through the city and on the denverside of the centre, not the rocky mountainside.
The Cache la Poudre. You'd think, being a French term, that it would have this nice, lyrical, flowing pronunciation, but everyone here just calls it "the Pooder."

Next time you're here, it's just a hop and skip up to the Black Hills in South Dakota, where there's caves to explore, herds of buffalo to photograph, and the big Presidents' heads to see, which I'm not making fun of - it really is impressive.

Or just an hour or so away from Rocky Mountain National Park and some of the prettiest country around.

How well i regocnize it. And i actually been to the blackhills and mount Rushmore too. I saw that indian head nearby too, was it Crazy Horse it was supposed to be, Visited Deadwood and the saloon where wild Bill Hickoc met his destiny (so they say) and had a bear to his memory. Next time i'm going over the atlantic we are planning a trip to New Mexico. Haven't been there yet. Perhaps Wounded Knee also. We always take one trip to the rockies, they are magical.
