That's a good one. I watched that movie and I didn't like it no more than I did The Hurt Locker. I think they gave her (Kathryn Bigelow) the Oscar for The Hurt Locker to just piss off James Cameron . . .
For me . . .Avatar was the movie of the year.

I really enjoyed Avatar, too - of course the two times I saw it was at the Imax Theatre in 3D, with Surround Sound - so that may have contributed to my enjoyment of the movie! It was really good.

That reminds me of poignant a line from movie Agnes of God (Anne Bancroft as Mother Miriam Ruth to Jane Fonda as Doctor Martha Livingston): "What have we done to hurt you? And I remember back when I was in grade school and we were forced to take recess outside, no matter the weather. Looking back, that would make for a good scene in some movie... of kids playing in the parking lot of the Catholic school. High winds, the snow blowing sideways, boys playing football to stay warm and the girls huddled together discussing who knows what, and a couple of nuns in their long black overcoats, watching over us like guards in a prison.

I tear it up in little pieces and throw it into the snow around the deck at the back of our house. There is a little rabbit out there that eats it. I feel sorry for him/her in this freezing cold weather.
