It's so cold that the Wisconsin State Journal just sent us an e-mail saying that we will be able to view tomorrow's paper on-line because the carriers may not be able to deliver it! (Not even kidding folks)

IT is so cold that just saw a snowman with a blankie.
so cold I had to step back inside and put something warmer on my head & hands a bit ago...full-face chook and my beaver mittens. Wife said she heard 35 below windchill but it's only a few degrees below zero on the thermometer course that is sheltered somewhat.

Hey Walt - I notice there is a place called "Wetmore" near you. I saw the Green Mile last night on TV - Percy "Wetmore" was in it and he definitely lived up to his name!

never heard of Wetmore. Heh! Have heard of a Wetalainen...but don't know if that's s'posed to be some sort of Finnish pun on fishing.
That's way over by Munising! About 100+ miles away...oops...looked again...more like 200+ miles away.

If you go to your profile page and click on your location it shows a satellite map - weird the technology we have now. I started looking up the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and then I pulled it back and it showed N. America, Europe, Ireland etc. I ended up panning all the way over to Scotland - to Andy's old house! Google maps are so cool!
I'm on a small inlet lake of Lake Superior, Keweenaw peninsula...Torch...from above it looks like a fish-hook and I'm on the point. Saw some satellite shots this once and the U.P. looked bigger than it is...I think some lady from the area was on the space station recently...something like that. I'm 500 miles away from Detroit as the Ford drives and I think I could drive to 3 or 4 other state capitols quicker than I could drive to Lansing. Let me know next time you look, I'll go outside and shoot you the moon...but not today.
