It's the zombie apocalypse - is your state the safest (or not?)

Hello folks!

I haven't taken leave of my senses, but my guilty pleasure is reading zombie fiction - it's a great distraction from my reality.

As I live in the UK , guns from Walmart are not an option.

In zombfic, the safest part of the US seems to be in the Midwest or tucked away behind the Rockies.
Is this true?
Is fiction based on fact?

Thanks!:howdy:

It's so funny you bring this up today rudiroo... last night I went to my 2nd eldest son's high school prize-giving and while waiting for things to start I became a little bored. So I looked around and imagined that I was in a room of zombies and tried to figure out the best way to escape the room without becoming dinner.
It must have gotten my blood pumping because when we stood up for the Maori Karakia and to sing the national anthem... my heart was racing! :biggrin2:

I think parts of NZ would be an ideal to go through the ZA... wouldn't want to be in a big city though.

FlakeNoir, you're a woman after my own heart :cheerful: Whenever, I'm in a crowded public place, I wonder what if. . with the added excitement of how to get away from flesh-eaters in my wheelchair (good upper-body strength, head down, comin' through!).

NZ, of course! You could seal yourself off from the rest of the world, more or less.
Assuming that the zombie scourge didn't jump species. . Sorry, any excuse to share this woolly apocalypse with the widest possible audience!:okay:

There was just an article on FB from one of our local TV stations/newspapers (forget which) that had the results of some study that said my state would be the best one in which to wait out the ZA :) I'd beg to differ and give that title to WY, but maybe it was lower because there are so few people that there wouldn't be a lot of scavenging to do?

yup, there would some hurting zombies in my neck of the woods..my idea would be to find a mountantop with one narrow trail, and establish a mechanism, like a boobytrap to sweep them off the mountainside while I am chilling out..have to figger out how to have it auto reset, but if you stock up,that would be cool..and the views of falling zombies would be fun too..;)

Eastman had such a perfect set up. I have to say, in his position I would not have left.
