She is a chef over here in the UK. She used to do a show with an equally rotund friend and the show was called "Two Fat Ladies". Brilliant stuff, cooking old fashioned recipes breaking every health and safety rule going, never taking their rings off when making pastry etc and also wearing nail varnish. They always seemed gently sozzled too, they were brilliant! Not sure if she's died now though!!

...I just cracked up at the title....couldn't help it....sounds like a great show though, sorry I missed it...

Ah penny drops! Tommy came out before I was born, but I watched a copy of it on video at my parents house when I was growing up--I didn't remember this part...
