It's Winter Olympic time

It's that time of year for the world's finest athletes to show off their talent. A few things have disturbed me about the upcoming Winter Olympics. They showed on the news that a reporter took a brand new computer out of the box-The computer was hacked in minutes. Apparently, this is a huge problem for the out of towners.

I watched the new team skate event last night. Great start for Russia, while the Americans are left short after our male skater fell down. I don't think that even Meryl and Charlie can pull this one out. We'll find out tomorrow.

I do like the snow slope events. What talent.

I like to watch the alpine sports and speed skating. Though I'll be curious to see how into-it I am. I'm almost to the point of, whenever I see a snowman, I just want to beat him with a shovel. Sorry, just venting.

One skier wiped out in practice, so she's out of the games without competing. She asked "Do I still get to consider myself an Olympian?"
Of course you do, kid. Absolutely.

I like to watch the figure skating. I just think they should make it more exciting by placing a few unseen incendiary devices in the ice. I bet we'd see a lot more quadruple salchows.......

Another thing they could do, is have the cross-country skiers with the rifles come through the arena during their event....

I always thought that the ski jumpers should have to shoot clay pigeons while flying through the air. Now that would be an event.

Ya'll are so bad. I wish you could have heard the figure skating commentary coming out of my Neanderthal husband's mouth last night. Fortunately I was going about my scullery maid duties and didn't have to watch it with him - I enjoyed it later by myself where I could admire the beauty of it.

So far the best scene is during the parade, watching the Venezuelan Olympian carrying his flag. So much excitement and nit afraid to show it.

I am not a big fan of sports, but I would like to watch figure skating and I hope that Russia takes the first prize, as we have really good sportsmen there. Anyway, it's a big event for many people, I hope everyone who's watching enjoys it! And I hope everything goes right, without terrible incidents!
