hi all. I have been wanting to read these for years now. i have a few things in the que right now but im going to start these probally in march. i told myself at the beginning of the year that i would finally start this series this year.

ive done some research and really hoping someone here will help me with this or tell me if my thinking how to approach these is on or off. also anyone else who ever wanted to read these would love for you to come along for the ride.

very basic review. these are numbered, but the ones that are not numbered are in between numbers. again im not positive if this is all correct so please chime in. from what i have come to gather is the in between novels are not nearly as good as the number ones. ive read up on some fans and reviews and the common theme seems to be these were kinda like fillers to give the fans something while they were waiting for the next numbered book. im not sure if im buying that one. but some fans are saying that and that most of em are not even good.
also you don't have to read these in order but you will get more out of it if you do but not a whole lot. reason being the relationships btw characters change quite a bit from book to book. right now the first one i have is number nine. so i could read that one while i locate number 1 then stay in order from there. im just buying the hardbacks so not sure on how hard the early ones will be hard or not to find. im sure after 3 or 4 the copies were probally in the 500000 plus. but the 1st couple might be a low run.
anyways sorry for the length but i really know very little on these. so anyone who has read these please let me know any advice possible. no matter how little. like i said ive been wanting to read these for years. any suggested order reading or even something like read 12 before 11 or anything no matter how trivial.
as i finish these i will put my 2 cents in on how it goes. who knows i might read 2 or 3 of em and hang it up. maybe it just wont be my cup of tea. and please reply or pm if anyone wants to do read em. not a book club or read along or anything. just if you want to bounce things off or any questions would be great to chat over with someone or some people.

These are light, funny, easy books. The first few were the best and funniest; like all long series, her numbered series faces the problem of stretching a schtick to the breaking point. The non-numbered ones are okay, too. I think they're put with mysteries, but there's not much mysterious about any of them; they're mostly silly fun.

This, exactly! I love the Plum books and usually laugh out loud once or twice during each one. I would read them in order if you can, but if not you won't be lost, just maybe some slight deja vu.

As for the non numbers, I enjoyed them too, but they are filler, shorter and less "meat" than the #s. Still plenty of laughs. I look forward to hearing what you think.
