Had my first Job Interview after my graduation today. It was a telephone one.
I was so nervous that I slided the wrong way on my smartphone and declined the call.:facepalm_smiley:
He called again and we spoke half an hour. I do not know if I will get the job.
I guess it was okay.

Have you any funny stories regarding job interviews?
Hi, Im from Argentina... Dont worry , If it´s not this job it would be another....
I worked... and for my first interview I didnt have any pevious experience, I also had a phone call... Of course they always tell you "We will be calling you for a personal/group interview" ect ect...
my advice is :
-be cool
-be happy or something accordingly (if you have to do team work, work with other people)
-If you dont have previous experience show that you like CHALLENGES (must say) jaja and you could also say or show you are eager to learnand be the best(attitude, important)
- Dont worry, You will get a job!!! Its obvious. You have a degree.
Good luck!!

Hey,I don’t have any funny incident to share, just some doubts. I had attended an interview last week, and now having the second and final round in 2 days. My first round of interview was ok and I was not at all tensed, but now feeling very nervous. I was just thinking about salary negotiations and how to go about with it. I’m just scared that I should overrate myself, at the same time, I should get my minimum expected salary. I was looking online for some details on this and I found this blog ( Salary Negotiation And How Your Recruiter Can Help | The Executive Wing ), I don’t want anything to go wrong and just want to get through somehow, because this is my dream job, just so tensed riht now. Hope everything goes well. Please help me with your inputs and thoughts. thanks

Hi bency...first off, best of luck with everything and anything. I imagine we're in different lines of work but I think the principle holds true. I've spoken with a large number of people as a self-employed carpenter/contractor. Honesty, as they say, is the best policy. I've never been disappointed with another who honestly states their goals, their wishes, their desires. I've experienced all manner of people, some who have a high opinion, some with a low, some in between. If you're confident of your abilities that is a plus, make it known. I'm no sure but maybe you could demand $2.2 million-an-hour. Why no politician has made that a political plank, as yet, is beyond me. Not familiar with more than one round of negotiations...although your post does remind me of this once, down in Iowa this was...Proctor & Gamble had this big affair, about a hundred and fifty showed up...I made it through a pile of paperwork and they brought us individually into a room where two people interviewed each applicant. I'd been contemplating a career change...pounding nails in the hot sun, at the time, seemed a tad too much and doing whatever, making toothpaste and laundry detergent seemed like a real bread-winner. I didn't make it past that two-person interview...have wondered what it was that knocked me out of the running.

I'm sure you'll do fine, just don't mention that you eat raw meat. I'm sorry I'm not much help. :(

Glad you got a job. How's it working out?

I have a kind of funny interview story.

I was fresh out of highschool and had spent the summer working two jobs, neither was enjoyable. I got called in for a job that seemed "perfect" for me. It starts with tests and a brief interview by what would now be called HR. Then the woman calls the prospective boss to come interview me.

We sit in a tiny cubicle, he asks me a few strange questions....85 WPM? What does that mean? So I tell him it means I typed 85 words per minute in my test. Is that good? He asks....Not bad I replied. (Starting to worry about this guy.)

Then he suddenly gets up and walks out. Eventually the woman comes back and asks me if I got the job. I had no idea....I wasn't sure if he was coming back, or what. She called him and he said yes I got the job.

Great job, great boss.
