Just checked out the link with the excerpt; great concept. Rather creepy, though. I like the notion that one person seems to be immune (or generate his own immunity).

This leads me to a sort of unrelated thought: I've always wondered why, in The Walking Dead, there never was an immune person -- i.e., a body that stays dead. Has that ever been done in the comics? I think Hill is wise to add this type of element.

Does anyone know, when pre ordering from Water Street, do they take the money out right then or not until the book releases? I don't want to miss out but I would hope they would take my money now! Works better for me.
Why not order it, then just deduct the amount from your checking account in the check log you use and that way you don't have to worry about when it will be deducted out of your account?

Does anyone know if Joe is a believer in creationism?

"[John] Scalzi also uses the Whatever [his blog] to help raise money for organizations and causes he supports. Notably, in June 2007 he raised over $5000 in 6 days for Americans United for the Separation of Church and State after fellow writer Joe Hill challenged him to go visit the Creation Museum that had just opened near Cincinnati, not far from Scalzi's Ohio home, if Hill paid for the ticket, offering to match the cost with a donation to the charity of Scalzi's choice after he filed a comprehensive report on the trip online. Scalzi extended the deal to all Whatever readers, raised 256 times the admission price, and posted his critical report on the Creation Museum on November 12, 2007."

I'm just confused as to Joe's motives for his actions. Was he hoping that Scalzi (a non-fiction and science fiction author) would be convinced and swayed by the museum? Or did he want Scalzi to write a scathing review?

This is a "museum" that claims the Earth is 6,000 years old and that humans and dinosaurs co-existed.

No idea, sorry... you could check out his Twitter, or FB page and ask him there?

I won't speak for anyone, but it was a joke. There was no ulterior motive. He knew John's position and it was strictly a lark.

There is a cool item for sale from Cemetery Dance. A 10th anniversary hardcover edition of 20th Century Ghosts (2 different covers) with a slipcase. There are not many available so these will probably be gone very soon. This was a UK published edition.

Cemetery Dance Publications: 20th Century Ghosts (10th Anniversary Edition)

I'm still kicking myself for not ordering the signed combination special edition NOS4A2 with Wraith. I saw it before Christmas and it was $150.00. I was buying some other books at the time and I didn't want to add $150 to the total. I told myself I would come back later for it. Of course, I came back later and it was sold out. When the King family is for sale on Cemetery Dance, you don't have a lot of time to make up your mind. ;-D

Also, there is a signed limited edition available of Owen's book, We're All In This Together. I ordered this one a while back but it still hasn't shipped yet.
