I work as a school crossing guard. I do one crossing in the morning and two in the afternoon. So that coffee in the morning, when the house is quiet and I have three hours before I have to be back is magic.
That must be a lovely job!

To see all the children in the morning must be a treat - good for you :encouragement:

Thanks. I've been doing it for 12 years now and I still love it. I especially love when kids come back to tell me exam results or something like that. Occasionaly someone will come to collect a brother or sister and I can't believe they are in college.

actually no. He isn't a name i have seen in sweden at all. Any good?
I have checked Hancock now. He is not an author i will read. His theories are old, not his own, but they are theories built on sand, Air and words of mystery. I prefer theories built on facts, not just some facts, but the whole bunch. The thing with facts is that you cant pick the ones you like, that is not science. They keep coming up with even intervalls, Atlantis, Superhumans that built the early civilisations and then disappeared with no trace and similar. That is NOT history or Archaeology even if it makes money for the book writer or the documentarymaker. Even in biblical times they know that a house not built on solid ground will fall. These theories are like that, they might be entertaining but they are not factbased.

Stopping at a random gas station to pee and finding it spotless and clean and smelling of air freshener. Rest stops are usually immaculate with an on-duty custodian but gas stations are usually rank. When I find a clean one I want to fall to my knees weeping with gratitude, Lol.

Fat pine pieces of wood burning.

Nothing quite like the smell of pine, is there?

I just thought of a "little thing" that makes me happy:

The feeling you get at the end of a day after being outside camping in the fresh air:

You are sitting around the fire late at night, listening to the logs crackle, bundled up in a blanket, smelling the smoke from the fire and looking forward to laying down your head to sleep after a beautiful day spent with those you love.
