Big Stephen king fan first time on his website...but about 10 or 11 years ago I was reading one of his short story books that I don't remember the title to and in said book I read a story that gave me nightmares for more than one night and I would like to read it again but I don't know the name of the story either... All I can remember about it was the part that gave me the nightmares... The protagonist was in the woods for some reason and there was an entity of some sort there with him and when it described the entity it said that his insides were made of fire... Or something along those lines... Of that rings a bell for anyone I would just love it if u could point me in the right direction so I could give it a read again thank u very much

The only thing I can think of is The Man in the Black Suit because it transpires in the woods and a boy meets 'the devil' who is described with fire in his eyes. Don't quote me on specifics. It was in Everything's Eventual, a short story collection. Not sure if this is what you mean.
I think Doc has it. Didn't he win an O. Henry award for that one?
That definitely sounds right and I will hafta go buy that book thank u so much I can't believe I didn't come on here sooner and ask I've been wondering for years about it...
