I'm currently on season three, the episode I'm in the middle of, "You Never Know" is the first one Kathy Bates has appeared in, she's directed episodes before, though.... Stephen gets a couple of mentions over the episodes I've watched so far.... Anybody else here seen this show? I see connections to everything from Veronica Mars to Dead Like Me to Breaking Bad and LOST as well in it, since it aired before all of them....

Nate, Claire, David, Ruth, Keith, Rico, Brenda, Lisa the whole very odd, very interesting crew... all kinds of people stopping by to say hello, or attend a funeral... there was the biker funeral epi.... a kinder, gentler Sons of Anarchy... and all the dead people that show up in these folks imaginations, from Nathaniel sr, to the football guy, the porn star, etc, etc, .....

Yeah, I've done a rewatch of the X-Files quite a few times... this is my first time going through Six Feet Under... it's a show I had never watched before... like not at all. Not even one episode... I should have... it's an awesome story... ahead of it's time in so many ways....

I will say without spoiling -- it had one of the best finales ever. I can't even tell you what an impact it made on me, but I also had a lot going on in my personal life at the time and that may have played a part in how hard I took it.

Let us know what you think as you move through the episodes and the seasons.

I was going to say exactly this. Great show and hands down best finale ever in the history of TV shows.

And appropriately enough... I appear to have killed my own thread...

I think it's appropriate that the actor who played David, Michael C. Hall, went from being the proprietor of a funeral home to the playing the guy who sends people there... (Dexter)
