Since I read the books as published, TWTTK came after the original journey. To me, that was the perfect order. TWTTK is like going back home for a family reunion. To visit with old friends again and enjoy time around the fireplace telling stories.
The original books are "the journey" unto themselves, TWTTK is the reunion.
Spidey, you speak true!

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum. I am about to re-read the Dark Tower books and went to The Dark Tower Official Website to determine the order (it's been a while!) and can't decide whether I should read them in the order they were released or insert The Wind Through the Keyhole between Wizard and Glass and Wolves of the Calla. Suggestions?
Welcome. Personally, I would read in order of publication inserting WTTK as mentioned.

Welcome Shane. As a long time SK reader I came late to the DT series. I was blown away myself. I spent most of the rest of the day just thinking about the whole thing. It changed the way I read EVERYTHING! I think someone here has already suggested The Lord of the Rings and thats just what I did. Then I read DT again. So that is just what I did. Whatever you decide enjoy.

There are a lot of DT references in his books. I know someone has a list on here. Anyone would like to share? I would start with that! There are DT comic books out there too. Brings the series to life!
