Hello I am Matt from the UK: lawyer, teacher and amateur writer. I am very new to SK having bought his "Bazaar of Bad Dreams" as research for the short story competition in the UK Guardian. I have since followed this up with "Joyland" and "On Writing." I think I may have missed out for too long as I don't really like horror as a rule. Where would be a good place to start with the back catalogue. I must admit I probably prefer the more gentle, whimsical tone of say "Joyland" and I suspect (not read it yet) "Different Seasons" to the hardcore stuff. I did try reading "Dreamcatcher" from the library but sadly could not finish that one.
The Eyes of the Dragon is quite good. The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. 11/22/63 is another great one.
Those are the only ones I can think of, off the top of my head.

Welcome!

I second The Eyes of the Dragon. That book is amazing. I think I recall The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. It was good too, if it's the one I'm thinking about. I'm into the darker stuff so it wasn't my favourite. If you aren't into super-dark horror, those are both good choices. Can't say much about 11/22/63 as I'm just getting caught up on his collection myself. Oh, and welcome. I'm new here too! :)

Welcome. I've read it all. At least twice. Sometimes it takes a re read to really get it, so try Dreamcatcher again sometime in the future. Read it all. Some you will like better than others. You'll fine very little horror and a lot of very fine characters and all kinds of situations that somehow are quite beilveable. Try a short story collection for a good sample of all kinds of stuff.
