No he leaves tomorrow...getting older for me is not a problem, I try to embrace it...dad just seems to be so cranky and complains alllll the time. I love the dude but damn man get happy, life is short!
Old people can be really difficult to be around, I have elderly grandparents that I am responsible for (Dr's visits, hospital, shopping, hair appointments... yadda yadda. I love them to bits but by God I was glad to see the back of one of them yesterday... grrrrrrr..... breeeeeathe.)

I think it hurts (both physically and emotionally) to get old, it's sometimes hard to remember this when they're driving us crazy though.

Chelle71 and FlakeNoir -- inner peace for your both. I think the grumps come along with old age mainly because they realize there is a lot of things their "bodies" will no longer allow them to do. The mind is still sharp and the inner desire to do it there, but the body screams out no. They also inwardly begin to realize loss of dependence. That's a tough one. So, they just get grumpy.
