One of my favorite parts I forgot to put in my original post. The president of Rainy Day Books sat down and started talking but her mic wasn't on. She got up and said hang on a sec I'm not turned on! Stephen said without missing a beat "I'll turn you on" and everyone lost it it was one of the highlights! When she came back she said "now I can tell people Stephen King turned me on" :cheerful:

I don't have one from KC yet but here's what he wore in DC just to prove he does have a change of clothes with him. ;)

But back to SK in KC....

He's got to be absolutely thrilled about the sub-zero temps in that part of the world at the moment.
But the thing is, the folks in KC truly got lucky....I doubt highly he'd put in an appearance in Nashville.

Unless I invited him and Tabitha for dinner, of course. ;)
Some of us did. Some of us found that by the time we were slightly less broke, tickets were gone, alas. Still, it's VERY cool that he came here (and that redman got to go). Kansas City actually is a pretty big supporter of the arts, but we don't seem to get hit on a lot of book tours overall.
