Just a heads up - talked with Andy tonight. He has been saving up all his money up north and plans to try and pay off the mortgage...

(So - not even sure if we will be able to afford the air fare now) - I hope not, and I really do want to go! (Just wanted to let you know in case it does not pan out after all). - Sorry!

Maybe I will just jump in my car and run away from home - I want our mortgage paid off (sure) but I have been looking forward to this since 2014!

Well - he says he plans to pay it off at the end of this month, so that gives him May and June to build up some more moola however just in case we cannot afford it, I thought I should given you a 'heads-up'.

Depending on the cost of the air fare and car rental etc. we might just be able to swing it - I am keeping my fingers crossed!

I booked a hotel but still nothing for flights - where is the closest place to fly into?

Duh - it would be Denver!

Colorado Springs is farther away by a little over an hour, but it's a pretty drive and sometimes flights in and out of there are cheaper.

I can confirm that i will visit my brother this summer but it looks like early august. We will have the final and decisive discussion on exact dates in the second part of May when tickets probably will be bought. I'll try to push it forward so it coincides with the Kon.

GNTLGNT - It was equally nice to meet you; of course there was a storm, and downed power lines and additional lodging. Lol! Still, wouldn't expect anything less from this get together. Don't mean to mess up the thread ... and this will be my last post in this thread. However, thank you as your comment means a lot to us. Have a great time this year.

Some of us weren't special enough to stay out at Pushaw so we are the "in-towners"...

So The Hossiverse is not allowing for the Kon for me again. It actually has nothing to do with all the recent stuff that has me on hiatus. This year is the 90th birthday of our oldest living relative in both families. They decided to plan the first dual family reunion (mine and hers) and what better place to have it than Florida, right? I had hoped (and lobbied) we were going to have it in Tulsa, as that is very drive-able to go to the Kon in Colorado. But since it's here at basically the same time, I can't make it. I also have a big business conference starting 7/25 through 7/28. I am doing a presentation so I have to be there. Add it all up and Hoss will be cleaning up after relatives instead of enjoying the Kon.

Maybe SOMEBODY can FaceTime this go around?
