...now we just have to get Steve to write a story set there....
I was just pondering if he'd ever given Australia a shout out. I'm thinking he mentions it in Desperation but that may be in King's author notes. He says somewhere that he enjoyed riding his motorcycle across the Outback. Since he's spent time there he's certainly capable of writing something. Do we have any new information on the forthcoming novel The Outsider?

I'll have to ask if he's ready to make anything public.

What book is This? I thought his next book was the theirs book with strub
He let this information drop in USA Today and tweeted about it, too, I think.

Earlier this month, Stephen King confirmed to Collider that he has a new book coming out in 2018, and we now have a title! In an interview with USA Today, he revealed that although he can’t say much about it, it will be titled The Outsider. “It’s too cool to talk about right now,” King said. “All I can say is it won’t be out in 2017 because I’ve got enough going on.”

Right, well, looks like I won't be coming after all. The bay above our dining room window sprung a leak a while back and we thought it was fixed. Apparently not. Not only has it started leaking again, but part of the bay's 'ceiling' has fallen away and there are signs that damp has actually got into the house structure itself. Quotes we've had so far run between £1,200 and £1,800 though that's really just to get the bay sorted, so it looks like the jolly to the States (Maine first for me, then down to Charlotte, North Carolina so the gf can see her mate) has been well and truly torpedoed.

Sorry to hear that. Good luck with your repairs!

That is too bad. I was really hoping to see you guys. Best of luck with the repairs, and thanks for volunteering to write this year!

Yeah, I was hoping to meet you (and others, of course) too. I'm told there's a chance we might be able to make a claim on the insurance or against the bods who did the repair, but only the Flying Spaghetti Monster/God/Gan knows if that's right and how long it'd take to get sorted out. In the meantime, it is what it is.
I've been counting the beans - using my best maths as well as all my fingers and toes - to see if there might still be a way, but if there is I can't see it.
(I mean, there is a way, but it'd be mighty tight and there is a risk of it going very wonky, so I dunno. Might be a case of wait and see. And I'm seriously tempted to knock the place down and start again. Been sod all but trouble. *goes away muttering dark things*)
