Hmmm, palange of the little finger of the left hand is "cut off"... Curiously, casualness or hint?Bio: Naomi King is a Unitarian Universalist Christian minister, who primarily ministers via social media and digital devices. She has lived with chronic illness her entire life and chronic pain since her teens. She loves to read, knit, cook, hunt fossils, and garden.
I think everyone liked Nick, he weren't my favourite but he was a great character, my favourite good guy was Stu, I think. My favourite bad guy was Lloyd.
Stephen get's quite a bit of leeway thanks to Naomi doesn't he?:
Critic: You portray homosexuals in a negative way.
SK: Actually, my daughter Naomi is gay.
Critic: You portray people with disabilities in a negative way.
SK: Actually, my daughter Naomi requires a wheelchair.
Critic: You portray religious people in a negative way.
SK: Actually, my daughter Naomi is a minister.
I'd never really thought about it but yes, most of his books that I've read do contain those characters, and they're usually quite important to the plot - the little boy from Joyland, Dinah from Langoliers, Susanah from DT, Holly in Mr Mercedes and so many more.

Many many years ago, the first I ever heard that Naomi was gay was in an opinion piece by some guy claiming that King had "disowned" his daughter because of it. Sometime after reading that I came across an opinion piece that said King had "disowned" his daughter because she was a minister. That got me curious....a female gay minister just sounded to awesome. Lol
Anyway, I have no recollection of who wrote those nasty articles. I dismissed them as someone with a chip on their shoulder....or click bait.
Naomi is gay and a minister. Her heart is golden. Never read anything about King disowning his daughter.
