Thank you, Sundrop!
I can't see a lot of these images at work, so don't know if the ones I'll post are already here!

...these were the images from the solo LP's.....
and I still say this is an astounding cover from Gene's effort....last cut on the B-side solo album.....I can remember at the time thinking "What the bleeding hell?!?!", harps and strings???.....

Saw Him in NYC when he was touring as Derringer. Loads of fun and loud as hell. Would have loved to have seen him when he toured with Ringo and Edgar Winter a few years ago.
I saw him play with Edgar Winter. I was surprised to learn Edgar is legally blind. I was wondering what he was doing on stage before the show... seemed odd. Turns out he was pre-planning the steps he would take during the concert and to make sure nothing was in his way.

Yes, he and brother Johnny (RIP) is/were sight challenged. Johnny could burn the house down on guitar.

Hey, I like "Beth." If the backstory I heard is correct, it's very sweet. It goes against the grain, sure, to hear rockers jump into Balladland (Journey with "Faithfully"), but I can still be entertained by it.

I won't hold it against you at all Grandpa...........{snickers diabolically}

I had Jonnny Winter’s Roadwork on 8-Track that I jerry-rigged into my ’60 Corvair. It was cruising music driving the back roads in the mountains of Pennsylvania coal country.

I played Captured Live so many times the album would literally spin on its own when I walked into the room......

You an FZ fan? :applause: Awesome!!

My brother (the bastid) was lucky enough to see him play one of his immortal Halloween shows at The Palladium in the city.
I saw Zappa twice. At the Philadelphia Spectrum and the Allentown Farm Show Arena (where I ended up getting batoned in the side of the head by police when they bum rushed the couple in back of me for taking some hits on a doobie. There was a big police force, with dogs, inside his concert that day for some reason.).

And Zappa was really pissed over the police presence at this concert. I believe he wrote about the experience in his song “200 Years Old.” “I was sittin' in a breakfast room in Allentown, Pennsylvania, six o'clock in the morning, got up too early, it was a terrible mistake ...”

I've loved the Kiss orchestra since the 70's. Finally took the wife and saw them a year or 2 ago. It was everything I imagined it would be. One heckuva good rock show. I remember buying the comic back in the day and being impressed that the red ink contained their blood. I also remember seeing 'Kiss meets the Phantom' on TV. I'd like to see it again as I remember very little about it.
