No, I'm sorry to report that he's "All the Way Dead Fred" now.
He had a lot of health issues from the beginning. My sister adopted him for me from a shelter, he was an older cat on a list of cats to be put down within the week. She had intended to get a kitten but couldn't resist our Fred. I'm glad she couldn't. I had him in my life for a few years and I took care of him until he passed into the clearing. I'm blessed to have had a chance to know him. He was a sweet boy.
This is the other cat in my life. Her name is Pearl.
She's a big Stephen King fan too, just like her old Ma.

Every bit of love I gave to Fred, he returned back twice. So it was a joy to know him.
Pearl is beautiful, and spoiled rotten, just like she likes it. She's the boss of Winston, who is a go along to get along kind of boy so that works out too.
