This little guy showed up at our food bowl last week. He had a really nasty cold in his eyes, they were completely crusted shut. So we took him to the vet and got him some medicine. It's working well for him. We snuck him into the hotel so we can look after him.
We have dubbed him Brutus the wonder cat.

Here's what's been bringing joy and light into my gloom-filled (house-burned-down, blah, blah) days.
Brutus the wonder cat.
We go to the house every day to feed our outdoor cats. As one might imagine, a number of strays have discovered the free chow house, including a pretty Tortie we've named Jewel. And a few of her kids. Adorable little fluff balls.
But there was this one, an extra fuzzy little fluff ball whose eyes were crusted shut. He looked very tiny and frail, but the first day we saw him, he was gamely doing his best to get at the food despite all the bigger local kitties. The second day, we were able to pick him up and take him to the vet.

He got medicine and fluids. and drops for us to put in his eyes. I named him Brutus. I wanted him to have a good, strong name, he was such a fragile thing.
We smuggled him into the hotel and he's been with us ever since.

Poor crusty little guy.

His eyes cleared up and he's a bold little stinker.

I just adore him. When he's not chewing on me.

Pretty kitty!!

I have a question. Why are you at a hotel?? I thought you were at your daughter's place.
My daughter and her boyfriend have one guest room. Boyfriend's mother came down to visit for his birthday for a week, that turned into a month. During which time Tall Guy (And Brutus) and I stayed in the hotel.
Brutus might be all of 8 weeks old now. He's getting a gorgeous silver belly and always had those Chewbacca arms. I don't know if he's part Persian or Himalayan but he's gorgeous. I'm so happy he made it.
