Knife at Becky's throat.........

Becky allowed this friend to let her stay at our place till he got his own place. He went crazy the other night and put a knife to her throat. She ran downstairs with me till the cops came. They did not get here for an hour. Cop said the dispatcher was WRONG and they should have gotten a number one call. He beat the house apart, ran at the cops with a gun...they pulled a gun on him. Becky tried to run upstairs to get the cats, I held her back. I wish the cops had shot him . They sent him to the mental ward and I bet him has gotten out because I see his number on the phone. Friggin courts! I am afraid for Becky...she leaves at 5:00 in the morning for work.

Darling, this is a city of close to two million people. They are busy but if he shows around, they will. If he keeps calling or leaves a threat, I will too. I have my doors locked and we be on the lookout when Becky pulls up from work.

Could Becky file a restraining order so that he can't come back near her or her home? This may help her if he should come back. Do a search of the process. Several years ago I took my neighbor to get a restraining order. It helped her and her kids overall.

I suggested that she get a restraining order ...she said if she hears from him again. I would right away. Becky went upstairs when they were confronting him and saw pointing a gun when he threathened to have to shoot him. Becky screamed and said not to. I did not speak....I am a bit of bitch that way. If he had killed her, I think I would not want to go on. She is the most important person to me.

Drag her azz to get a restraining order. That way if he hurts her he will end up in jail. Take her by the hand and drive her to get a protective order now. You may have to write what you saw.

well..she is kind to be so forgiving,but should release all contact with him,and press charges if he comes near again,no matter what,which facilitates the order of protection..being a friend is fine but my God this guy needs to step off..

This is going to sound harsh (I don't mean it to be)... the first sentence, " Becky allowed this friend to stay with us till he got his own place"

He bit the hand that fed him. Whether he forgot to take his meds, went crazy, got some bad herb, bottom line, that behavior is beyond the line of acceptable. Being kind is one thing, being stupid is not.

Star, be strong for her. Help her realize her safety is important too. Tell her what you said ' If something happened to her you would be devastated'. Maybe she won't be safe for herself, but she will for you and her critters.

...this is a multi-layered hot mess....but my first and most important thought is that you guys are OK...second, venture out and find the strongest pepper spray you can buy, a stun gun, handgun-whatever is legal there...hell, even a baseball bat or a Bowie knife...this dude is bad news....I pray for you both...please be safe my sweet...
