The Last Song. Loved it more when I was younger, now it does not seem as good... But still makes me cry a bit in the end

The Theory of Everything (2014)-Not knowing much about Stephen Hawking, I came out of the theater absolutely loving the movie. It's a great story and inspirational. Eddie Redmayne's performance as Hawking is superb--probably one of my favorite performances of the year!
Couldn't sleep last night, caught some movie that came on around 2330 called "Let the Right One In"....super weird vampire movie, kind of. Movie was made in Sweden, I think? I couldn't stop watching it but I really don't know why. One of the stranger movies I've seen in a while and I keep thinking about it.
I've only seen the American version 'Let Me In'. Loved it! The book is really good, too.
Didn't know there was another version. I'll check that one out. I don't think it could be any stranger than the one last night....

That movie is an experience.
The Reluctant Dragon, a 1941 Disney live/animation movie, cutsie and self-serving. We were killing time. i can't say it was completely worth the time, but it was a charming period piece.
Re-watched Gatsby with Leo DiCaprio. Stellar!
Well, we watched A Christmas Story last night. It's been thoroughly dissected on the other thread, so I have nothing to add, except it was thoroughly enjoyable.
I've watched it twice. I haven't seen the remake yet, which I've heard isn't as good but which I still want to see.
But did you put your eye out?
It came up the night before, when the adults in the family were playing Cards Against Humanity. I can't remember the question card, but one of the cards played said, "Lactation," which got some ribald comments going, including mine, which was, "Sure, it's all fun till someone loses an eye."
And Grandma cleaned up in the game. Actually, I shouldn't use "clean" in that context at all. She was HORRIBLE. We were all gasping in shock. She won the game with no close second.
Cypher. This is a movie which is growing on me. The first time I saw it I didn't care for it as much as I do now as I watch for the third time. I've yet to see it from the very start, though.
