Watched 'The Help' DVD, a Christmas present from hubby because he knew that I loved reading the book. It's a great story with a wonderful cast, highly watchable, I enjoyed it very much and look forward to seeing it again.

I was thinking of taking my son's GF to "Frozen" - sort of a girl's night out for the two of us. She is 22.
I think with Disney cartoons age does not really matter :) I am 24 and I still enjoy them;) In the theater I also saw middle-age people, and they were without children... So, I think it's okay to watch cartoons. Go and see this one, I am sure you will not regret it!

Donnie Brasco - I've seen this one a couple of times. I think this is one of Al Pacino's best roles. He doesn't play an understated sort of defeated character very often and he does it magnificently in this flick. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you find this one. It's based on a true story of an undercover FBI agent who spent 6 YEARS undercover as a mobster. (Oh yeah, it's Johnny Depp) Al Pacino plays an aging ex hit man who doesn't get the respect from his fellow mobsters that he thinks he deserves. He's not as sharp as he used to be and that's how the Donnie Brasco character is able to get so close to him. Donnie Brasco shows him respect and Lefty (Pacino) lets him into his world.

Re-watched Silent Hill: Revelation with my dad, tried 3D on our TV for the first time... Realized once again that the sequel is good to watch only in 3D, as there is not the same atmosphere and meaning as in the original Silent Hill.

I agree the original film was very atmospheric, and scary. A great movie, did you ever play the PlayStation game the film was based on @Lina ? Spooky stuff indeed, especially those blind zombie nurses!

Just saw TrollHunter, a Norwegian film, 2010 I think. I didn't go in expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. It's just hard to find a movie anymore that scares me, but I think I can get into a spooky movie more when it has to do with things I am paranormally interested in. Like ghosts or Sasquatch or UFOs. But as a paranormal researcher/writer, one of the main things I have been researching for years is folklore, legends and paranormal beliefs in other countries/regions of the world. I hadn't researched or written about Norway. That is why I think this movie was neat because trolls are one of their paranormal beliefs/folklore.
So the way the movie was presented, the acting and the atmosphere and the spookiness of it were all awesome! Not to mention some of the most amazing scenic shots!
I walked away thinking more about trolls than I ever did walking in. >_>
