For Your Eyes Only (1981) Roger Moore

I think this is the best Roger Moore era Bond Flick. Bond is more serious and less gadget dependent in this one than in the previous few Bond flicks. Roger was getting close to looking too old for the role in this one. I think he looked too old for the part in the two Bond movies he did after this.

I will be seeing Jaws on the big screen in 35mm on Labor Day. It's an annual tradition :)

I've always wanted to watch Jaws like this.

My vote goes for Octopussy. I remember staying up late to dig that on cable when I was but a wee bairn. Still love it to death. Maud Adams all the way, baby. I'm on an all time highhhhh....we'll take on the world and win...

Yesterday was Boris Karloff day on TCM, baby. DVR'd me some great classic horror. The Black Cat, The Mummy, The Walking Dead (no, not that tired old Zombie tv show) and, yowza, Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. Lord, how I love those two flicks. James Whale was a genius. Colin Clive was the perfect tortured actor to play the tormented monster maker. Dwight Frye...do I have to explain? The best Frankenstein flicks ever. Oh sure, they took major liberties with my beloved Mary's original story, but, I'd betcha a dollar, she would have loved em too. After all, she loved the original stage production of her novel, and it made as many changes as the Carl Lemmle production.

And Bride...how could you not love it? The whole opening scene, on a stormy night, at what we are to assume is the Villa Diodati, with Lord Byron and Percy Shelley encouraging Mary (played by the lovely Elsa Lancester, who also played the aforementioned BRIDE) to continue her story...can I get a hell yeah? And Ernest Thesiger as the evil Doctor Pretorious? Are you kidding me? If you don't like this flick, not only can we NOT hang out, you can't even wash my socks. Blehh.

What's up with all the hate for Leslie Jones? I heard there was another round of vicious activity about her yesterday.
I don't know why all the hatred has been aimed at her. It's like our society has to pick someone and just goes after them. I am worried that she may end up committing suicide over this crap. A person can only take so much before they snap and do something drastic. She makes me laugh and for that I call her a friend. Anybody that makes me laugh is a friend. She's a widely talented woman and doesn't deserve what's being done to her.
