Ohhh...big hugs all around. You guys are so cool. And I got a cool seventy five cents from ol Coin Slot over there. Heh heh.

I'm gonna go watch Natalie in Rebel Without a Cause now (got this one locked and loaded on the DVR). Gosh, what a cursed cast, Dean, Wood, Mineo...all dead before their time. But a great film by a great Director, the Prince of three-time losers, Mr. Nicholas Ray.

Hell YEAH! Best Hoosier what ever walked the earth. You know, I've got a birdhouse made out of the scrapwood from James Dean's home barn? It's true. Also smoked a doobie I found on his grave way back in the day, laced with my own cocaine. That was YEARS ago. I'm drug free and proud now (wink), but just a little Muskie trivia for yez.

Ya wanna see a monkey?

Ok Muskie, I'm gonna need more details about this birdhouse. That's the coolest thing I ever heard. I never can tell when you're having a little fun at our expense. Seriously?

Yes sir. Birdhouse made of James Dean barn wood. Yep. It's not that bigga deal. I'm a Hoosier, I live in John Mellencamp country. Fairmont, Indiana is one of the most beautiful places on earth. These are all true facts. And yes, back in the day, when I was going thru my own Hunter Thompson period, I stole a doobie off James Dean's grave, re-rolled it with cocaine, and fired that bitch up. S'how I roll. Or, used to. This is America, right?

Midnight Special (2016) Michael Shannon, Kristen Dunst

Kind of a sci-fi, drama, chase movie. A father is on the run with his son, who has special powers. The son has a destination he must reach at a certain day and time and they are being chased by the government and a cult (drawn to the special powers). Like many Michael Shannon movies, this is mysterious and a little slow moving but completely captivating. I think most of the SKMB members will like this film.

Sausage Party - everything in this film is wrong and profane and offensive. I loved it.

The Secret Life of Pets - the trailer was better; story didn't live up to the premise. Loved the poodle who is a heavy-metal fan.

The Jungle Book - a surprisingly good adaptation of the Kipling stories, even though I didn't like most of the voice cast.

The Nice Guys - showcasing director Shane Black's strength's in writing "buddy-cop" films. Pretty good. Too bad it didn't do too well at the Box Office.

Before I Wake - The X-Files did it better.
