Kubo And The Two Strings - pleasing Japanese-flavoured (traditional stories rather than anime) CGI movie
Eight Days A Week: The Touring Years - wow! These boys were good! Huge concerts with primitive equipment.
Don't Breathe - thieves break in to a blind man's house: suspense thriller with some very unexpected developments

Elvis & Nixon (2016) Kevin Spacey, Michael Shannon

The movie tells the story of the bizarre meeting between Elvis and President Nixon in 1970 when Elvis just drove up to the White House and requested a meeting (so he could get a Federal badge). I'm not really sure how much of this movie is the truth but the movie is hilarious. Kevin Spacey steals the show as Nixon.

I've wanted to see the first and last movies, particularly Don't Breathe. Not a Beatles fan, so not so much the second movie :p

Finally watched INTERSTELLAR this weekend. WOW. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Not at all what I expected. I quite literally couldn't fall asleep afterward--I kept thinking about it, and trying to work out what was real and what was a dream/vision. This is one I need to watch again. Christopher Nolan is one of the most interesting mainstream screenwriters/directors working today.

Suicide Squad.......Saw it about a week ago...not as bad as critics made it out to be. The first half of the movie is basically giving the background of each character. The action is better than Batman vs Superman (which was not impressive), but could have used more. Coolest one out of the pack...at least to me was El Diablo. Harley Quinn and Deadshot were pretty good as well. Viola Davis as Amanda Waller was great casting....but then again...I've not seen too many character that she can't pull off.

Do you watch How to Get Away with Murder! Love her in that! Also her role in Doubt with Meryl Streep is really good!

That scene with her and Meryl when Meryl is explaining that her son is being molested is just heartbreaking and also infuriating to me. Such a hard scene to watch. Viola really pulled off something there in that scene is almost impossible to do.

Here's a question to which you might have the answer, muskrat . I remember watching a movie with my dad years ago that was about I think Finnish resistance in WWII. I remember scenes of guys cross country skiing to give Nazis the slip. I really liked it, but I can't for the life of me remember the name. Any ideas?
Not sure which one you mean. It might be The Winter war (1989) or some version of The Unknown Soldier. That is the big finnish war epic written by Väino Linna. Has been filmed many times.
