Just finished watching Dream House on Netflix. I had avoided this in the cinemas because when the trailer came out I was annoyed at it giving away major plot points. This film is actually better than I expected, but I think the supernatural element seemed a little shoehorned in. I suppose that was the two lead actors' grouse as well, because I understand they refuse to talk about the film. I thought Craig's scenes with his family in the first part of the movie were beautifully acted.
Been a long time since I've seen this; I really loved the acting (both Crain and Weisz) as well.

Stir of Echoes -- rented through Amazon
I had seen this when it first came out, and after reading Richard Matheson's novel this week, I rewatched the movie. Although very different from the book (which I loved), I enjoyed seeing it again. There's something about Kevin Bacon that's so very watchable and interesting.

The Invisible Guardian -- Spanish film with subtitles, Netflix
Very well-done thriller about a serial killer and a mythic creature called the basajaun. Lots of fog and rain, rain, rain which made it very atmospheric. I liked it.

Loved Stir of Echoes when it came out. And yes, I watch anything with Kevin Bacon in it, although probably not for the same reason you ladies do.=D You should check him out in Cop Car.

Will see if Netflix in my territory has that other film you mention. It sounds good.

Have you seen Bacon in the series I Love Dick? I have it queued up but haven't watched it yet.

Collateral Beauty--- Will Smith
Man closes himself off after the death of his child and his coworkers/friends try to shock him back to living life.
Really good, even though I had it figured out right away that
Death, Time and Love were not just actors and that the woman at the support group was the wife.

People Like Us Chris Pine, Elizabeth Banks
Man's father dies and he finds out he has a sister he never knew about. Starts to get to know her and her son without telling her who he is. Pretty ok movie.

The Hitman's Bodyguard - action comedy which trades winningly on the chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. MFing Jackson. A crowd-pleaser.
Overdrive - enjoyable Marseilles-based car theft crime caper movie.
Annabelle: Creation - routine creepy doll horror movie based on the premise that creepy dolls are creepy.
