Because he's an arrogant b*stard who thinks he can do/get away with anything and because he abused his ex-wife Kim Basinger and from the sounds of that infamous recording that was released to the press a few years ago, also verbally abused his daughter. He's a slime bucket.
OIC. There are many artists whose private and/or public lives and belief systems I disagree with but whose art I must insist on appreciating. If these things about Baldwin are true, then bad for him. But I won't allow them to detract from my appreciation of his contribution to the arts, whatever they amount to.

I respect your opinion. I also won't see or listen to anything that Courtney Love is in/recorded. I don't believe in supporting folks who do/say things that I disagree with regardless of their artist 'merit'.

Gatsby. I love Baz Luhrmann films and this one was as much a spectacle as Moulin Rouge. It was rough in some parts, but it conveyed the excesses of the era really well. Wasn't crazy about Carey Mulligan as Daisy, but Joel Edgerton as Tom Buchanan was pitch-perfect.

Can I just say I'd l-o-v-e to own the jewelry in the movie? I love Deco pieces, especially the ropes of opera-length pearls with pearl-and-diamond tassels. Wow. Just.....wow.

I am the World's Biggest Sap over Moulin Rouge... this totally blows away my tough-ass image.
( ... I'm not sure if I actually have one or not...)

I've never seen Moulin Rouge. :a11:

Right, that is (absolutely) it, girl! I'm coming over and not leaving until you have been educated in the fun side of (Movie/TV show) life!
Put on the coffee and make snacks yar? This could take some time. :biggrin2:
