Grandma likes this one. I've watched a couple. Goofy fun. It's got Rebecca Romjin and Christian Kane (Elliott from Leverage) in the cast, so there's some cool actors for both of us.

The premise, as I gather it, is that these librarians are trained magical specialists to take care of magic anomalies and evils in the world. They're called librarians because they operate (I think) out of the sub-sub-sub-sub-subbasement of the New York Municipal Library.

Production values are good. The characters are pretty enjoyable. Grandma's gonna be watching this one for a while, and I won't mind catching it with her.

We've started watching this one too. Enjoyable so far, I must say and it kind of reminds me of Warehouse 13.

Same here, and Warehouse 13 reminded me of Friday the 13th the Series where the new owners of an antique store have to recover cursed antiques and place them in the store's vault.

I caught the 5th episode but I missed the first four episodes so I think I missed out on some necessary info :( I've seen the three movies though so I'm not completely lost lol.

I’m a fan of The Librarian movies, especially the original. I watched the first episode of The Librarians, but Noah Wyle played his part (from the movies) soooo over the top in the TV series that I became disinterested and turned it off in the middle of the show. I haven’t watched it since.
That's one thing I enjoy about it - I love his over the top performance!

In my illiterate ways, I didn't know there was other movies or originating stories to this one.

I watched another one with Grandma. Again, enjoyable. People in a town sorta turned into fairytale characters. Nothing for the ages, but fun enough. Nice to see Odo (STDS9 reference) working.

I hope all who have been watching did see the season ender. IMHO is was awesome. Just perfect for the show. I know it was a limited run series, with no real plans to continue, but sure would enjoy another season.
We did record all eight of the shows at once today - so now we have something to look forward to!:thumbs_up:

Good little show. Silly, nerdy Indiana Jones-ish fun.

With a dash of Harry Potter. Good summary.

We did see it, and yes, it was a great way to end it up. If they make more, they're set; if they stop here, it's just fine.

Sharon mentioned Warehouse 13. I've never seen that, but to me, this show reminds me of the modern-day Doctor Who. And hey, to no-bounce, you brought back a lot of memories of the days of first-run syndication on independent TV stations with your mention of Friday the 13th: The Series. It really should have been called "Curious Goods." They should have left the title for a real series based on the horror movie franchise.

I never saw the movies; I meant to, but never got around to it. I tried a couple episodes of the series, but to be honest, I couldn't get into it. Maybe for similar reasons, I, like DiO'Bolic, turned it off in the middle. Seems like a really cool concept, but if they did it just a bit more seriously, I'd enjoy it more. That's the problem with the current Doctor Who -- although the last season was better than previous ones, the show has become about fast dialogue between the characters and the relationship-tension between the characters; I'd rather the focus be on concepts and ideas.
