I'm feeling good thanks for asking. just happy that i have 2 wonderful kids. You looking forward to the new year Flake?
New Years Eve here tonight... I'm working until 11:00pm but might just have a card/games evening with the lads after that.
(One of my boys has been away on a bike trip with his father and gets back tonight, will be good to catch up with him.)

We were driving along with daughter and her kids in the car. At the time, her youngest was in a car seat, toddler-aged. It was winter, December, and the roads were snowy.

We stopped at a light, and a man from the bedraggled side of town pedaled across the road. He had long hair, a beard, and had a three-wheeled trike setup, with a big basket arrangement in back, between the wheels. In the basket, he'd had various things that he'd either scrounged, or carried with him, or both.

We looked, saying nothing, but all of our thoughts were, "Poor guy," when from the toddler's mouth came, in the high-pitched note of the very young, "Hi, Santa!!" We stifled our laughs. The man pedaled away, followed by the next words, "Bye, Santa!!"

The difference in perspectives.
