That is my favorite scene from the Grinch stole Christmas. He tried so desperately to keep that sleigh with all of its goodies from going over the cliff. The expression on his face was priceless.
The Carey version gets a lot of flack from people as he seems to go over the top in his performance but I like it a lot. You really do need to see the original animated version!! It's narrated by none other than Boris Karloff and he does a fantastic job!
I think I was just in the right mood for his over-the-top silliness--I loved the humour. Definitely intending to try and find the original.

Brian, thank you so much for having Jake and his friends perform The Grinch this year. This has always been so special to me.....my brother and I watched it every year together, without fail. The year he died, I still watched, but I cried the entire time. I still watch, and sometimes, I still cry.....especially at the end when the Whos are all happy and singing.
Probably more information than you wanted to know, but I wanted to thank you, because you've brought some really great memories to me.
