2000... it was on TV. I thought Jim Carey was brilliant. (Would like to see the original too.)
The Carey version gets a lot of flack from people as he seems to go over the top in his performance but I like it a lot. You really do need to see the original animated version!! It's narrated by none other than Boris Karloff and he does a fantastic job!

I think I was just in the right mood for his over-the-top silliness--I loved the humour. Definitely intending to try and find the original. :smile:

Brian, thank you so much for having Jake and his friends perform The Grinch this year. This has always been so special to me.....my brother and I watched it every year together, without fail. The year he died, I still watched, but I cried the entire time. I still watch, and sometimes, I still cry.....especially at the end when the Whos are all happy and singing.
Probably more information than you wanted to know, but I wanted to thank you, because you've brought some really great memories to me.
