Malcolm Young, AC/DC Guitarist and Co-Founder. The writer of so many of AC/DC’s hit songs.

RIP.

(Saw them in 1977 on their "Let There Be Rock" tour with Bon Scott.)

I saw them in 1979 when they were promoting their live album, If You Want Blood, You Got It. I found this website that has their set lists from previous years and some other info. I found the show I went to and found out the tickets were $4.50 and $5.50. The seating capacity was under 1,500. I saw them right before Bon died and right before they got mega popular. They did Highway To Hell at this show but I don't think the album had been released yet. I love looking at set lists from shows I was at years ago. Just looking at the set list can jog a few memories.

Tickets for the show I was at were $4.00 and seating capacity was 550 at the Roxy. Will never forget the first time I heard T.N.T.

Went to see them again in 1978 during the "Powerage" US Tour at the college I was attending... after my evening class had ended and the concert had already begun. When I walked into the auditorium the music was so loud I just sat on the floor and listened to the concert, saving myself the $6.00.

....Malcolm was an unsung guitar slinger....he didn't get the "godlike" status some other players have gotten over the decades, but those who truly know their chops-realized how lucky we all were, that he walked amongst us....AC/DC is forever diminished by his loss....have a drink on me mate....

Definitely R.I.P. I only got into them after discovering classic rock only about 16 years ago, but man, is AC/DC just the thing to put you in a great mood! I am especially sad to know that he had to deal with dementia at such a young age. Dementia is one of the worst kinds of hell.
Thank you for rocking us!! :smiley_simmons::m_sing:

Saw ACDC 1980 tour in Syracuse NY,with my high school buds, four of us and a couple cases of beer..they were great, think my ears are still giving the high pitched whine from the volume..my favorite band tune..
