The High Seas
This is a British TV show on Netflix. Anyone watching or finished watching who can comment without spoilers? I'm on episode 5 and so far, pretty intriguing. Has my interest firmly in hand for now.

I hope it finishes well.

Exactly why I binned this after the third ep.
One victim even sucked the bag into his mouth, then blew it out again just as I was going "Now bite through, you numb [person]!" (a comment that my gf didn't much like, not because of the name I used, but because she was really lost in the moment and didn't appreciate my whole 'Save yourself then boot his arse to Mars!' approach).

I was also disturbed by Anna Friel's duck lips. I don't know what she had done or why, but she ought to sue.

BAD. From the very beginning it was bad. =D Unbelievable, preposterous, unimaginable stuff. Plot holes I could drive an 18 wheeler through yet I kept watching. :laugh: The season finale was especially bad. It was...42-47 minutes and it was *wrapped up* in the last 7 minutes? And the gazillion loose ends that weren't explained?! ;;D

IDK. I may not watch the next season :rofl:

Yeah, I watched all of it.
I can't imagine you sitting through all the mess. I kept telling myself to shut it off but I couldn't/wouldn't. I don't know why. Maybe it was her lips?!

Hey, I can suspend disbelief. There are just things in 'realism' based programmes that I can't get over.
The clingfilm balaclava scene was one of them.
Now, had the killer knocked them out somehow first, then slipped the bag over their noggins (a less baggy bag would have helped, too)...OK, fine.
It just suggested to me that the writer and production team had decided that the method wasn't important, given that the focus was supposed to be on Marcella and the investigation, and that victims are just meh...but that was a mistake because the method is always a crucial thing and should therefore be convincing/make sense, and no one wants to be a victim.
They're not just going to lie on the floor and flop like a fish, apparently revelling in their victimhood, as Mr 'Sucks Bag Into Mouth' did.

Anybody catch that Marcella has dropped a Season 2 on Netflix?

I have been watching and I think it is much better, so far, than season 1. Maybe they brought on some new writers, but it definitely breathed some intrigue! suspense! mystery! into his new season. Now hopefully they will see it through properly.
