I watch a lot of commentaries for films on blu-ray/dvd. What I notice is that basically all of them use the word 'again' over and over. Some people do it constantly, others every now and then, but it comes up sooner or later.
What I'm wondering is, does it mean simply: 'As I've said before' or does it mean 'Once more with emphasis', like the speaker's reason to repeat it is because he feels it's really important?
And why is it so often used in commentaries especially? You don't read it in articles of movies in books and magazines. It comes up in interviews somertimes, but not nearly as often. It really is part of the way audio-commentaries are done.
Anyone any idea?
