I saw this earlier. The horrifying thing to me is, this happens every few years. According to the article, it's worse than the last one, but not as bad as a few years ago. I just can't imagine!

Well mayhaps they don't have 'em holy day mad rush to hajj red lights to observe...damn good thing I'm not sippin' a mint julep in Saudi Arabia 'bout now, ya figure

It's off-the-charts horrible. I've never liked crowds. The potential for stampedes is only one reason.
