Depends upon how well and in what keys I suppose .... ( I only really know the scales myself in context of songs I play, I do have the Guitar Grimoire {most of the books, in fact} but I have not really memorized all those scales and positions on their own)

My guitar guru friend has been telling me for awhile that learning things from the diminished scales, especially diminished 6th, is how everyone should learn. Because all the rest of it is pretty simple once you grasp how the Dim stuff works. I didn't learn that way so I can't say if it's true. The only mode I knew back then was the one that goes with "pie a la".Depends upon how well and in what keys I suppose ....
"Straight" diminished is a pretty simple pattern all over the fretboard, besides whole-tone and chromatic, the easiest to remember, in and of itself...
August 9th made it a year since I've been here. I didn't even realise. I had gotten tired of all the trolls on King's Facebook page and wound up here because I wanted to talk about Revival. Was my 8 yr anniversary here on the 10th.... I have been truly blessed to either talk to or actually meet so many wonderful people here.... actually met the love of my life here! SKMB will always be home away from home for me
