He's quite young, but he's already had careers as a reporter and a private detective and has about 10 novels under his belt. I've had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time with him over the past few years -- he's a great guy.
The first book I read was Last Words. Since Last Words came out, I've read 5 more and I liked them all. I highly recommend him too. I see he has a new one on the way in 2018. I can't wait.
I've read Cold River, really good and quite creepy...
Would you suggest starting with Last Words?

I started with The Prophet, which is an excellent place to begin.
That would work. Last Words has a sequel called Rise The Dark. These are the last two novels he has released.
I liked The Ridge too.
There are 4 books in a series with a private eye named Lincoln Perry. I have read the first one of those but not the others but I enjoyed the first one.

I have only read Last Words, on fljoe's recommendation after he read it. I liked it a lot. I bought Rise the Dark but haven't gotten to it yet. Have the rest of them on my wish list.
Downloaded Last Words and made the mistake of reading "the first few pages" just to see if I liked it. Can't put it down! It's been a while since I've had that can't-wait-to-read feeling. Unfortunately, I'm about 225 pages into Sleeping Beauties, and now I'll have to read both of them. Thanks for the recommendation.
Finished Last Words several days ago. Once I started, it was very hard to put down. One of those books you keep thinking of, even when you’re not reading it. I’ll definitely be reading more of Koryta’s books.
