Bound to be pretty short though, right?
I mean, the first time Harry does anything remotely magical, it'll be "'Tis witchcraft! He is a warlock, in league with the Dark One! BURN HIM!"

But...yep, I hope this woman enjoys poverty, 'cause she's going to get sued and the damages sought are bound to be substantial.
(And excuse the medieval-lite speak there. It's just that attitudes like hers belong in that era...IMO, naturally.)

JK Rowling probably won't sue. She's a classy lady. But if this carries on much further, she's likely to either file an injunction to make it stop, or demand a portion of the profits, which she would likely then give away to charity, which she's done with a large portion of her own earnings.

Oh my gosh! My daughter told me about this a week or so ago and I thought she was kidding! That's where the random phrase, "fornicating evolutionists" came from! What a goob.

Actually, no law suit can happen. As long as she isn't trying to make money from it, fan fiction is a very grey area. Even authors who have asked that fans NOT write fan fiction of their work can't do more than fuss if they do.

This just drives me beyond insane. Instead of opening the world to her children, she is closing it down. Narrowing it to some hateful little chunk by censoring. I always encouraged my kids to read all sorts of things. I can't remember one time I censored their reading ever.
